Skin Rejuvenation Treatments

We all want that healthy, dewy glow to our skin. Over time our skin can become dull, dry, rough and uneven with fine lines and wrinkles. Makeup no longer sits well on our skin, and we lose our youthful, fresh appearance.

Fortunately the water-attracting properties of hyaluronic acid make it perfect for boosting hydration, texture and luminosity for that airbrushed look!

This is also known as “injectable moisturiser”, Profhilo is an innovative product that contains the highest concentration of ultra pure hyaluronic acid on the market. Profhilo is injected just under the skin at strategic points to deliver a dramatic moisture boost, therefore giving a deep radiant glow.

Profhilo requires 2 treatments 1 month apart, and is best maintained by repeat treatments every 4-6 months.

This is not a filler, instead this bio-stimulator is the new generation of anti-ageing treatments. Sunekos’ patented formula of hyaluronic acid and specific amino acids, is injected into the upper layers of the skin, stimulating the fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin. Sunekos is perfect to strengthen and restore structure in the areas of concern, effectively treating fine lines and wrinkles. Sunekos is particularly useful for dark circles and crepey skin around the eyes.

Sunekos is performed as a course of 3-4 treatments 1 week apart, and maintained every 3-5 months.

*From £200, course of 3 – £550

A fine hyaluronic acid is “sprinkled” throughout the skin, useful for tricky areas of skin damage that need intensive treatment. The Skinboosters micro-injections boost elasticity, firmness and luminosity, so fine lines and other imperfections such as acne scars are reduced. Skinboosters hold water deep in the dermal layer, so the skin develops a smooth and healthy radiance.

Skinboosters are carried out as a course of 3 treatments 1 month apart, maintained every 3-5 months.

*From £160, course of 3 – £450

Chemical Peels

Young healthy skin has a high cell turnover, whereby new skin cells are made frequently and rapidly make their way up to the surface. As we age, this process slows down so that the skin is not renewed as often, leading to a dull, dry appearance.

Chemical peels gently dissolve the dead skin cells from the surface which in turn stimulates the production of new cells deep within the skin. These new skin cells are plump and fresh, giving our skin a glow while reducing pigmentation and fine lines.

Chemical peels are carried out as a course of 3 treatments 2-3 weeks apart, maintained every 6-8 weeks.

What does injectable hyaluronic acid do for the skin?

Creams that contain hyaluronic acid do not penetrate through to the deepest layers of the skin. However by injecting the hyaluronic acid beneath the skin, it bypasses the natural barrier so it is at the correct depth to effectively bind water.
Treatments like Profhilo, Sunekos, Skinboosters etc therefore lead to a deep hydration which increases the skins elasticity and collagen production, leading to an overall improvement in skin appearance. Fine lines are reduced and the skin regains its youthful plumpness and luminosity.

How soon will I see the results?

The injectable hyaluronic acid begins to bind water over the days following treatment with initial results visible within a week. This continues to improve for the next couple of months once the course of treatment is completed. Therefore planning well in advance of a special event is advised.

Do injectable skin rejuvenation treatments look natural?

Absolutely. These treatments do not alter the shape or structure of your face as with fillers, nor affect muscle movement as with Botox injections, they only treat the skin itself. Therefore injectable skin treatments such as Profhilo, Sunekos and Skinboosters are commonly used in combination with these other treatments for maximum effect.

How long do these injectable moisturisers last?

Skin quality is best maintained with follow up treatments of Profhilo, Sunekos and Skinboosters every 3-6 months. Unfortunately we are always ageing therefore continually losing hydration, collagen and skin elasticity. If you chose not to repeat the treatment, your skin would gradually return to its pre-treatment state over the course of a year or so.
Maintaining the investment you’ve already made in your skin through “top-up” treatments, ensures the skin does not deteriorate as quickly, which can prevent future sagging, lines and wrinkles.

Are there any side effects from injectable skin rejuvenation treatments?

Due to the nature of the treatment, multiple micro-fine injections are required to “sprinkle” the hyaluronic acid evenly throughout the skin. (However Profhilo treatment only requires 5 injections on each side of the face.) These little pin pricks will fade over a few hours although if any of the injection sites bruise, this would be apparent for a few days. We can apply sterile surgical makeup straight after the procedure if required.
For this reason most people choose not to return to work immediately after treatment, although you can wear makeup/return to work the following day.
